A key challenge facing modern organizations and their leaders is the need for rapid innovation in response to complex circumstances and rapidly changing events. DISCUS (Distributed Innovation and Scalable Collaboration in Uncertain Settings) aims to create a distributed and scalable environment for the integration of both human-based and computer-generated knowledge in uncertain settings. The project represents a kind of innovation support system (ISS) that relies on both human-human and human-machine collaboration.
